About Me

Understanding Restaurant Equipment

Welcome to my site about industrial kitchen equipment used in restaurants. My name is Theo Dickens. I started my life as a small town pizza cook. We placed the prepared crusts in deck ovens to develop a nice crispy crust. Every night, we were required to clean out the deck ovens and inspect its parts for signs of wear or damage. The techniques I learned from that job continue to stick with me to this day. Despite leaving the industry, I stay abreast of restaurant equipment advancements. I also use a lot of the equipment at home to prepare delicious pizzas, cakes and other baked goods. I hope you will enjoy learning more about this subject from my site.
